Educational and Professional Success Services (E.P.S.S.), LLC is an Atlanta, Georgia based company that offers educational and professional services for a wide variety of subjects and areas.  

 

E.P.S.S. was founded by Dr. LaKeisha Porter, while pursuing a Doctor of Education degree at Clark Atlanta University. Dr. Porter brings a wealth of academic excellence as well as a proven record of providing educational support and tutoring.  Dr. Porter has been providing educational/tutoring services for 13 years.  She first began tutoring at a large elementary school and subsequently began working as an independent contractor with a few educational agencies, including Sylvan Learning Center.  It was this experience that provided Dr. Porter with the specific educational insight that she has utilized to excel at tutoring.

 

 

In addition to Dr. Porter’s academic excellence, as a Contracts and Grants Compliance manager, Dr. Porter is also a subject matter expert in the contract and grant administration and management field. Further, as a veteran in career development, Dr. Porter also brings professional development, to include resume development and career counseling, experience to the company.  Her expertise in professional services extends to eight years.

 

E.P.S.S. is currently a home-based educational and consultation business offering a wide range of educational and professional services for a variety of subjects and areas, to include, but not limited to: reading comprehension and writing skills, language arts, English literature, government and history, primary and intermediate mathematics, study skills, academic advisement, Georgia Criterion-Referenced Competency Test (GCRCT)/Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS) preparation, Georgia High School Graduation Test (GHSGT) preparation, college preparedness and SAT/ACT/GRE examination readiness; letter of intent and resume development, career counseling, grant research and writing, contract/grant administration and management, etc. Sessions can be arranged as private or students may form groups for educational assistance.  Private sessions offer intense individual assistance, but groups sessions can also be beneficial with the use of team-based approach that many students appreciate.

 

 

For all students, E.P.S.S. utilizes systemic educational strategies that teach students how to adequately approach any subject area. The systemic strategies seek to provide students with a way in which they can better solve their own academic/educational issues. These strategies differ from most educational advisors who are primarily concerned with answering the student’s immediate questions and not concerned with providing the students with basic problem solving skills for future applications.

 

E.P.S.S. is unlike any other educational company in that it does not charge by subject/area. E.P.S.S. sessions are individualized, per student.  Other than test preparation services, students can have one session that includes any general area such as English, Math, Science as needed.
